30 Day Money Back Guarantee

We know you will love your new miniature schnauzer puppy! But if for any reason during the first 30 days you are unhappy, your puppy comes with a with a 30 day return for a full refund (minus $200 deposit fee). If another puppy is available, the buyer may choose to take another puppy instead of a refund. If no puppy is available, the $200 deposit fee may be used towards a puppy from a future litter.

Terms and Conditions:

 - Although we have had the puppies checked by our vet, we ask that you please have your miniature schnauzer checked by a licensed veterinarian within 3 business days of purchase date. Failure to do so voids this contract. Your puppy is guaranteed against communicable diseases (Parvo, Distemper, etc.) for 3 business days or until puppy is vet checked, whichever comes first.

 - Do not take your puppy to public places where unvaccinated dogs maybe (parks, Petsmart, groomers, puppy classes, etc.) until the puppy has received all its vaccines and your licensed veterinarian okays these things. It is a great idea to socialize your puppy by inviting guests over and take the puppy on car rides, and to places unvaccinated dogs aren’t likely to be such as bookstores, home improvement stores, etc. Your new puppy needs to be protected from coming in contact with areas where infected or unvaccinated dogs may have been or may be present with diseases such as PARVO, DISTEMPER, ETC. This requirement is to protect the puppy and this could save the puppy’s life. Any illness contracted because the Buyer did not follow these guidelines will void this contract.

 - Cropping your miniature schnauzers ears or docking its tail voids this contract.

 - If for any reason you return your miniature schnauzer, you must return any vet records and the puppy's AKC paperwork.

Return After 30 Days

If at anytime during the life of the miniature schnauzer, a  family's situation changes and they no longer are able or willing to care for their miniature schnauzer, the buyer must return the dog to Beard and Brows along with vet records and AKC paperwork. We will take the dog back and find another home for it. We will care for the miniature schnauzer free of charge until a new home can be found. Then the money from the resale of the miniature schnauzer will go to the original family after the AKC papers are transferred to the new owners. However, please know that older dogs do not sell for as much as young puppies. The amount the miniature schnauzer sells for may be significantly less.  The 5 year health guarantee will continue with the new owners that were found for the miniature schnauzer by Beard and Brows. OR if the Buyer has already found a second home, they may contact Beard and Brows to be apart of the rehoming process and transfer the health guarantee. This contract and health guarantee is void if the buyer finds a second home for this puppy without the consent of Beard and Brows. Furthermore,  the Buyer agrees to never, under any circumstances, surrender this  miniature schnauzer to any animal shelter.

5 Year Health Guarantee

If before the age of five, the Miniature Schnauzer is diagnosed with a serious or life threatening genetic defect, then Buyer agrees to bring him/her to Beard and Brows (at Buyer's expense) for our veterinarian to examine the puppy/dog as well.  The Buyer must provide Breeder with all the vet records showing where the dog has had regular vet care, along with a written explanation from Buyer's veterinarian stating the defect that was found.  Once the presence of a life threatening genetic defect has been confirmed by Beard and Brows' veterinarian, then the puppy/dog will be replaced at no charge as soon as another puppy of the same gender is available OR the buyer may choose a full refund of the original purchase price (minus deposit fee).  Additionally, Buyer has the option to keep the original miniature schnauzer that was purchased or return the original miniature schnauzer to Beard and Brows.

If the miniature schnauzer were to die as a result of a genetic defect (within 5 years), then to make a claim, Buyer must submit a necropsy by a licensed veterinarian stating the cause of death and a description of the symptoms supporting the genetic defect.  The deceased dog's AKC paperwork and health care records would also be needed and provided by Buyer and given to Breeder.  All information must be submitted to Breeder within ten days of the date of death.  This guarantee is not valid in the case of accidental injury or death.

Terms and Conditions:

 - Serious or life threatening genetic defects include, but may not be limited to:

*Any defect of the heart that is life threatening, creates a murmur of grade 3 or more, or requires lifelong medication.            *Congenital Liver Shunt.

*Any inoperable inherited defect that diminishes the dog’s quality of life to the point that the best recourse is euthanasia

 - No guarantee is given for any kind of worm, coccidiosis, or giardia.

 - No guarantees is given regarding the disposition, lifespan, color, show quality or breeding quality of this puppy.

 - Miniature Schnauzers are prone to gaining weight without a healthy diet and regular exercise. Miniature Schnauzers that are overweight develop health problems such as cancer, arthritis, diabetes, and pancreatic issues, which are caused by being overweight and a high amount of fat in the bloodstream. Make sure your Schnauzers weight is healthy for its height and consult your vet for more details. Health problems due to being overweight are NOT covered in this guarantee. Allowing your miniature schnauzer to become overweight voids this contract. Diabetes and pancreatitis are not covered by this guarantee.

 - Evidence of neglect or abuse voids this contract.

 - Cropping your puppies ears or docking its tail voids this contract.

 - Buyer agrees to wait until the above described dog is 12 months old before spayed/neutered. Spaying or neutering too early causes damage to puppy's growth plates and can have long term health consequences.  Spaying/neutering before 12 months will void this contract entirely. The buyer also has the option to leave the dog intact.

 - This contract is void if the puppy/dog is either purposely or accidentally bred at any time during the miniature schnauzer's lifespan.

 -  Buyer must keep this miniature schnauzer under the care of a licensed veterinarian throughout the dog's lifespan, including annual checkups. Failure to do so voids this contract.

 - The breeder highly recommends following Dr. Jean Dodd’s Vaccine Protocal (information below). Over vaccinating has been linked through scientific study to cancer in dogs.

*9 - 10 weeks of age: Distemper + Parvovirus, MLV, (given before purchase)

*14 – 15 weeks of age: Distemper + Parvovirus, MLV

 - Any vet bills incurred to diagnose and/or repair a problem will be the responsibility of Buyer.

 - Buyer agrees to notify Beard and Brows immediately of any diagnosed health issues or death of the dog. Failure to do notify within 5 business days voids this contract.

 - Breeder makes no warranties or guarantees other than those written in this agreement.

 - All legal action is to take place in Hamilton County, Ohio.  Buyer is responsible for all legal fees of Beard and Brows if a court rules in favor of Beard and Brows and enforces contract in a dispute.
